Banff Hot Springs

Rent a swimsuit from the turn of the century and jump into the Banff Hot Springs. After you have finished, head down to Cave and Basin.

Cave And Basin

It is the oldest National Park in Canada and the third-oldest in the world. You can walk through a cool cave and see the original entrance, discovered in 1885.

Johnston Canyon Ice Walk

Visit the Johnston Canyon Ice Walk for a beautiful winter scene and a fun day outside. The Johnston Canyon Ice Walk catwalk, takes you through a deep limestone canyon.

The two-and-a-half-mile hike takes you past six frozen waterfalls and a pool of swirling waters that can only be reached by passing through a stone arch. Make sure to go to the end to see the upper canyon waterfall.

The Wolf Dogs

Imagine a pack of Wolfdogs gathered around you. Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, located near Canmore in Alberta, is a center that rescues abandoned or neglected Wolfdogs. It also works to preserve wild wolves and promote responsible Wolfdog ownership.

This was a magical experience. It was one of our most memorable moments in Alberta. This is a must-do activity.

Skijoring

Skijoring, a winter sport originating in Norway, involves cross-country skiers being pulled by a tractor or snowmobile. Skijoring has evolved over the years to include a variety of vehicles that can pull skiers along. During our time in Alberta, we were torn by dogs.

Snowshoeing In Canmore

Canmore is a town that loves the outdoors. Locals enjoy adventure 365 days a year. Snowshoeing is a great way to escape crowds in Canmore during the winter and enjoy the Rocky Mountains.

Ice Climbing

If you are visiting Alberta in winter, remember to try ice climbing. Who wouldn’t like to climb a frozen waterfall? This is the most excellent activity you could ever do in winter.

Ice Climbing gives you bragging right the moment you do it. You don’t need to be a pro at ice climbing; you must be brave enough to try it!

Deer Lodge

This is a great place to stay during your Alberta Adventure. It’s only 15 minutes from Lake Louise Ski Hill and a short stroll to Lake Louise or the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. This rustic but elegant location offers fine dining, an outdoor ice bar, a rooftop spa, and plenty of space. The Deer Lodge offers a unique experience.
